The “Big Mac” Index
May 31, 2009

While I was doing research on Japan, in terms of pricing, I came across this weird Index in The Economist.
“The Economist’s Big Mac index seeks to make exchange-rate theory more digestible. It is arguably the world’s most accurate financial indicator to be based on a fast-food item.”
I also found some fun facts.
Five Most Expensive:
- Norway – USD 7.88
- Sweden – USD 6.37
- Switzerland – USD 6.36
- Iceland – USD 5.97
- Denmark – USD 5.95
