Of course, all or most of you watch football. Many of you also admire the players of the game. Anyhow, I was searching in my mail box for some useless emails to delete and i found this interesting email. When I saw the pictures in the email I laughed so much because I remembered that almost every time I watch a Man United game I ask myself, I wonder what wayne rooney looked like when he was small or maybe Ryan Giggs?. This email certainly answered my questions. I got some childhood pictures of some famous football players in the Premier League, La Liga and the Serie A

Paulo Maldini (AC Milan)

Alessandro Nesta (AC Milan)

Alberto Gilardino (Fiorentina)

Andrea Pirlo (AC Milan)

The Origins Of Messi

July 29, 2009

I’m setting here, in front of the laptop, trying to put into words, the amazing life story of Linoel Messi, the little boy with a growth hormone deficiency whom against all odds went on to become the best player in the world (and if you say otherwise, please just leave this blog and never comeback here again).

Sadly, I lack the writing skills needed for such a thing. So, like always, I stop trying and go straight to the “Video” documentary. Which tells the truly moving life story of Leo Messi, from the very beginning to his first appearance wearing the famous Braca shirt.

This is a Must-Watch!!!! (3 Parts)

Who do you think has a better team, Real Madrid or Barcelona?

http://itn.co.uk/story753b7a12b6e28d54177a59933638afde.jpg

It’s official, having passed his medical examination this morning Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to Camp Nou this afternoon to sign the contract which makes him a Barça player until 2014. Barça have paid Inter Milan €46 million + Samuel Eto’o (valued at €20 million) + the loan of Alexandr Hleb (Inter will pay 30% of Hleb’s salary with Barça paying the other 70%). Why was Eto’o valued at €20 million? well, Eto’o only has one year left in his contract, where as Zlatan has 5 more years.

Update: Hleb won’t be moving to Inter, so barcelona will have to pay an extra €4.5 million.

Recent developments in the assault case against Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard have led to the release of video footage of the incident in question.

The 28-year-old has been brought up on charges of violent conduct at the Lounge Inn in Liverpool after last season’s 5-1 victory over Newcastle on December 28.

Despite Gerrard denying the charges brought up against him – claiming he was merely defending himself against resident DJ Marcus McGee – the player is clearly shown causing physical harm to Mr. McGee, then being held back by friends.

Five members of Gerrard’s entourage have pleaded guilty to affray, one of which has been highlighted for the jury. John Doran is shown to be pushing the DJ then following through with his elbow.

The midfielder’s trial is expected to last a week.

UPDATE:

He was found not guilty… WTF!!!!

Los Gladiators!

June 3, 2009

This is the motivational video which Pep Guardiola, Barcelona’s coach, showed to his players before they took the field against Manchester United in the Champions League final in Rome. The seven-minute film, played in the Barcelona dressing room prior to kick-off, has now been broadcast on Spanish television.

The final message reads: “We are the center of the pitch, we are precise, we are our effort, we are attackers who defend, we are defenders who attack, we are respected by our rivals, we are recognized by our rivals, we are every goal that we score, we are those who always look for our opponent’s goal, WE ARE ONE.”

As the lights went up, several players were reportedly in tears, and Guardiola, his job done, did not address his players again before the entered the field.

I Miss It Already

June 1, 2009

I can’t believe its over. This has been the most amazing season in Barcelona’s history, they have won a historic treble (first to do so in Spain): La Liga, Copa del Rey and of course the Champions League, and they did all that in style. You have to admire a team that plays the most attractive football in the world that is enjoyed, by not only Barcelona fans, but everyone that loves the game, and they still manage to win every trophy that they were competing for. Now we’ll just have to wait and see what “Pep” Guardiola has in store for us next season. I just can”t wait.

Barça! Barça! Baaarça!

P.S. Just wanted to leave you with one of the most memorable moments this season. :)
